Working moulds are manufactured on the basis of the first model. From these working moulds series of pieces in the same size and shape can be made.
To get a working mould the model is placed into a plaster bed, causing a hollow profile respectively an impression of one side of the model. The other half/side is also placed into a plaster mould. The two plaster moulds then form one block mould with a hollow profile inside moulding the shape of the model. Further working moulds are made from this block mould. The working moulds are then ready for use at the throwing/turning or casting departments and porcelain figurines or table services can be produced in series.
